There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.

Welcome to One Formula 1 Race statistical comparison of all time involved sportsmen. In 2012 I built the algorithm and began to transfer drivers' results to the appropriate numbers. Almost every day I've been witnessing discussions about the GOAT of this sport and by my website trying to offer the numeric overview to help or to confuse people with the fundamental question. Who is the best?

I try to keep this is ongoing One Race alive. I believe that all these 924 sportsmen [involved till today] deserve to be remembered.

In 1978 our gardener gave me the leaf of actual calendar with incredibly coloured car. I was told that it was the picture of the local hero Niki LAUDA with his last year world champion car Ferrari. I was impressed. I reckon it was the moment when I became to be Tifoso Fanatico.
As the little boy I was initially hit by all those colours. I drew cars as I remembered them from the rest of that calendar. My school notebooks were full of prancing horses and tobaco logos which I had seen around all race tracks and at our groceries.
Yes, I began to watch races as well. Our black and white TV set inhibited my art feelings, but I found something new there, passion for this kind of sport.
I can’t forget those summer holiday Sundays at my grandparent's house. Grandad sent me for the draught beer to the nearest pub. Granny prepared my favourite dish (baked pork belly with cabbage and dumplings) and made the cake. After the lunch we moved to the living room and switched the TV on. They drunk the coffee and all together we watched the race.
I loved my grandfather’s comments during every Grand Prix. He had permanently compared all drivers with his pre-war hero Louis CHIRON. I did not understand why he lived in past, but I really liked it. Today I know. I do also live a part of my Formula 1 life there.
Entire my life I've been obsessed by numbers, I count everything countable. I love to read numbers to understand things.
I combine these two my passions here. I had walked backwards through the history and collected the data from every Grand Prix during the next almost last twelve years.
There are 57,040 active data fields of the database behind this website, only 2,060 of them has been updated after every race. I transfer 6,960 various data from database here and try to give them the logical order.
I do not say that this is the most scientific way how to answer to the mentioned question. My friend told me that for sure one of these two dozen sportsmen in each group had been the best of all. This comment has satisfied me; all of us have our own hero at this sport and he (or she) needs not match my numbers.
I process and sort the data in four different groups.
The first one is called Dream Grid and reflects qualification results of all involved sportsmen as the average of their standings in 20 categories.
The second group Dream Race is built by average of different standings in 30 categories. This group is about my race observation and data capturing during the time from start green lights to checkered flag finish.
The Dream Weekend [people around Indianapolis have to forgive me] combines qualification and race together; there are 49 applicable categories from first two groups. When I look at the list of names I clearly understand why I spent time and money to see complete three days of a lot of Grand Prix in my life. I've used top two dozens of "man at work" photos as the header of the website.
I used 33 applicable categories from previous group and built the all time drivers' comparison in Dream Sprint race as the part of Formula 1 racing as well even if there is still very short history of it.
